Jdar Developments (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Jdar Developments App mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our app.
By downloading and using the Jdar App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
– Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, password, birthday, and gender.
– Profile Photo: An optional profile picture you may upload.
– Property & Rental Data: Rental applications, national ID scans, driving license scans, rental contracts, and related documents you submit.
– Service Requests: Descriptions, photos, and ratings related to maintenance or service requests.
– Visitor Information: Visitor names, phone numbers, purpose of visit, and date/time of visits you register.
– Sub-Account Details: Names, phone numbers, and vehicle plate numbers for family members or tenants.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
– Device Information: Device model, operating system version, platform, app version, and a unique device identifier (Android ID on Android, IDFV on iOS).
– Gate Access Logs: Timestamps, gate identifiers, and access methods (QR code or Bluetooth) when you use community gates.
– Bluetooth (BLE) Data: Bluetooth signal strength (RSSI) is used to detect proximity to community gates for barrier opening. No Bluetooth data is stored beyond the immediate session.
– Push Notification Tokens: Tokens required to deliver notifications to your device.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Sources
– Odoo ERP: Property ownership and rental contract data synced from our property management system, including unit details and contract status.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
– Authenticate your identity and secure your account (including single-device binding)
– Manage your property units, rental agreements, and service requests
– Process visitor registrations and generate gate access QR codes
– Enable Bluetooth-based proximity gate opening
– Send push notifications about service updates, visitor approvals, and community announcements
– Communicate with you via SMS (OTP verification) and email (password reset)
– Maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce access controls
– Comply with legal obligations
3. Device Permissions
The Jdar App requests the following device permissions:
Camera: Scanning QR codes at community gates and uploading photos for service requests and documents
Bluetooth: Detecting nearby gates and opening barriers via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Photo Library: Selecting photos for profile pictures, service requests, and document uploads
Notifications: Receiving push notifications for service updates, visitor approvals, and announcements
You may manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Data
4.1 Data Storage
– Server-side: Your data is stored in secure databases (PostgreSQL) and encrypted file systems accessible only to authorized personnel.
– On-device: Authentication tokens and Bluetooth security keys are stored in your device’s secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
– Edge Devices: Gate controllers (Raspberry Pi units) store minimal credentials locally in encrypted SQLite databases.
4.2 Security Measures
– All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
– Passwords are bcrypt-hashed and never stored in plain text
– Bluetooth communications use HMAC-SHA256 signed requests and AES-256-GCM encryption
– Authentication tokens have limited lifetimes and are rotated on use
– API access is rate-limited and protected by device binding (one device per account)
– Admin actions are audited with IP address logging
4.3 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request account deletion by contacting us (see Section 8). Government-issued ID documents are retained as required by applicable regulations.
5. Third-Party Services
We share limited data with the following third parties to operate the app:

ZKTeco / Gate Hardware Access credentials, entry logs
We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms.
6. Sensitive User and Device Data Disclosure
In accordance with Google Play Store requirements, we disclose the following about sensitive data:
– Personal identifiers (name, email, phone) are collected for account management and communication.
– Government-issued documents (national ID, driving license) are collected for rental verification purposes only.
– Device identifiers are used solely for account security (single-device binding) and are not shared with third parties.
– Bluetooth is used exclusively for proximity-based gate access and does not track your location.
– Camera access is used only for QR scanning and photo uploads initiated by you.
– All sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
We do not collect precise geolocation data, contacts, calendar information, call logs, SMS messages (other than OTP codes), microphone audio, or health data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
– Access the personal data we hold about you
– Request correction of inaccurate data
– Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
– Withdraw consent for data processing
– Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only with:
– Jdar Developments and authorized property management staff
– Third-party service providers as described in Section 5, strictly to deliver app functionality
– Law enforcement when required by law or to protect our legal rights
9. Children’s Privacy
The Jdar App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
